Full-time - Year RoundOverview:
The Job Coach for the RI Transition Academy assists students improve job skills and achieve career goals.
The Job Coach works with the Program Coordinator and program Facilitators to develop coaching plans, assist with goal setting, teach effective job tasks, and support students within the job sites.
Strong communication and organizational skills, along with experience in employment planning, are important in this role.
Responsibilities Analyze job tasks and work environments to plan appropriate training, supervision and support services for students placed in assessment or work development activities Identify student strengths and advise them how to use those strengths to secure employment or excel in their chosen career path.
Provide training and instruction that will enable students to learn job tasks and integrate naturally into the business work routine Observe and record student performance and work behaviors for required assessment reports Liaison with business personnel regarding:
support needs of students placed, students' work performance, and building natural supports Liaising with employers to identify possible job opportunities for program students Maintain ongoing communication with RI Transition Academy Coordinator regarding student evaluation and/or training process and progress Collaborate with Program Coordinator when communicating student progress with school personnel and family regarding progress of student Attend IEP/IPE meetings as requested Work with other support staff in meeting the overall goals of the Project Submit all required reports Other tasks as assigned by administrator Minimum Qualifications Minimum high school diploma and successful career experience; Associates degree in human services preferred.
Completion of Job Coach Training Program a plus.
Experience with adolescents; knowledge of developmental, mental health, physical, and learning disabilities.
Must be available to work school and non-school hours, have a safe driving record, and be willing to transport students in agency vehicles.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
